Webcam model agencies work the same way as any other recruitment agency, except they are tailored to the adult webcam industry.
Model recruitment agencies have played a huge part in the industry's growth, as many individuals wouldn't know where to begin if it wasn't for them.
It can often be more beneficial to sign up to a webcam agency instead of working directly under the site. But you should understand the importance of your decision, and make sure that it’s the right one.
Working for a Cam Model Agency?
There are several reasons why working for a webcam model agency can be far more valuable than going rogue, so let's look at some.
Where to begin?
If you're new to the industry, then you probably don't know where to begin?
The right cam model agencies will get you set up on a matched site and handle all of the boring office work involved. Because the more that you earn, the more that they earn!
What are you going to do on cam?
Many amateur webcam models are very awkward on cam, not because they don't have what it takes, but because they have little or no experience broadcasting.
Webcam model agents usually work closely with their members, helping them to look and feel more comfortable while performing.
Will you need extra support?
My older role models always told me that "there is nothing wrong with asking for help," advice that I follow to this day.
Webcam sites don't tend to have the best support systems in place, which can be very frustrating, especially when affecting your earnings.
Webcam model agencies, on the other hand, are renowned for having amazing support methods, making your work that much less stressful.
Do you need the added features/services?
If you were to join an agency, you wouldn't only get all of the features/services you would get working directly under the site, but you would also get any added features and services that the agency is offering.
One of the more popular services that many agencies now offer is daily payments. A very convenient service that webcam sites would rarely offer themselves.
Working directly under the site?
Nothing in this world is perfect, not even webcam model agencies, so let's look at some of the reasons why working for yourself directly under the site can be more valuable.
Do you want to share your money?
As well as perfect, nothing is free. There are usually no sign up fees to pay when joining an agency, especially a reputable one. You will, however, have to share a small percentage of your hard-earned money.
By working directly under the site, you will receive 100% of your earnings.
Are you in control?
Working for an agency means that you're not totally in control of your account and profile. You have shared sensitive access with somebody else.
Some webcam sites will not allow you to create a new account without deleting your current account. Imagine building a large following, accumulating lots of positive feedback, and being awarded site perks for your hard work. Only to have to tear it all down and start from scratch when you finally find the confidence to spread your wings and leave the nest.
You'll never have a reason to delete your account when working for yourself, so you can continue to grow without the fear of losing everything you have worked for.
You can trust the cam site, but can you trust the webcam model agency?
Although there are many trustworthy model agencies out there, there are also many SCAM agencies. Agencies that won't pay you, agencies that may threaten to leak sensitive information. I don't want to scare you, but these horror stories exist!
Make sure to check for reviews for the webcam agency that you're thinking about joining. You can also find a list of reputable, trustworthy agencies on our site.
So, should you join a webcam model agency?
Cam model agencies are clearly not for everyone, but they are certainly a great choice for many models.
I would recommend that models starting out to join an agency, or at least consider it. Not only will it help you get started faster, but it will also be a smoother process that allows you to learn while working in a stress-free environment.
Once you have gained enough knowledge and experience, there is nothing wrong with going your separate way.
If you're already a model with experience, and you understand the process well enough. Then I would recommend going directly under the site unless you're looking for the added services which only an agency can offer.
Suppose you're only interested in one service in particular and can manage everything else yourself. Why not ask the agency if they would be prepared to lower their fees? After all, you can't get unless you ask!
